God’s Word for Today – 21 Mar 2024
1 Thessalonians 4:13 KJV — But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 21 Mar 2024
When those who spent their life anchored in Christ finish their course on this side of eternity the Bible says they have gone to sleep. That’s an interesting fact. It confirms that physical death is merely a departure from the earthly vessel that is returned to the dust from which it was carved. The soul and spirit live on and will be judged at the time appointed by Jehovah as the Bible says in Hebrews 9:27. While it is normal and understandable to mourn the loss of a loved one, one should do so in the knowledge that death is only a transition to the promised hope of life with Christ in His heavenly glory for the one who died in Christ. For those who are without Christ however, this is a final separation for there’s no more hope for them. If you belong to this latter group I implore you to come to Christ urgently and be saved from eternal condemnation on the day of judgement.
Pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for sacrificing Christ to die for me, please forgive me and restore me to Yourself. #Mok
