Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV — But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 17 Sept 2023
Many in the world who God has blessed with wealth may, due to their ignorance, not agree that Jehovah is the reason for their wealth. This must not be so with those who proclaim Jesus to be their Saviour and Lord. It is a sacrilege to boast in your wealth and not in Christ who gives you the ability to create wealth and enables you to savour the wealth in good health. It is in keeping with His promise to His children, to bless them so they are a channel through which others can be blessed - all for His own glory alone. Has God blessed you with wealth? Be quick to thank Him and be wise to use the wealth to serve Jehovah's purpose. It is your reasonable service.
