1 John 2:15 (KJV): Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 15 Oct 2023
The world and its systems are attractive and addictive, and they are contrary to everything God approves because they are majorly influenced and/or corrupted by the devil. It is not possible to be fully in sync with what the world offers and please God. You have to choose one or the other. It is either God or the world, never God and the world. In whichever one you are involved, be it culture, commerce, trade, education, entertainment, governance or industry, Jehovah expects you to stand out by upholding kingdom standards. Let the world know your allegiance is to Christ alone, no matter the consequences. Learn to be willing and ready to disagree and disobey, and do it in a God-fearing manner.
