Satan’s main focus in his confrontations against the followers of Christ is to weary them out with all manner of temptations to cause them to derail from following Christ. Added to this Jehovah allows those who are called to be followers to undergo fiery trials to test the genuineness of their trust in Him. While temptations and trials are inevitable, so also is Jehovah’s guarantee of victory in both cases divinely assured. That’s why you can laugh at temptations and trials when you put your trust fully in Christ and His promises. Yes, you may pay dearly for living through the painful situation but you can’t be robbed of your hope, peace and joy, because they are guaranteed in Christ. Hold on to that hope and be victorious.
