Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 06 July 2026

The bible makes it very clear that there will always be poor people in the society, so God makes it obligatory for everyone to be mindful of the poor and pay special attention to caring for their welfare. To underscore how close to God’s heart caring for the poor is, there is a promise of reward for those who comply and judgement for those who choose to neglect the poor and the less privileged. Your show of spirituality and religious virtue will amount to nothing before Jehovah if you neglect to show mercy to those who are in need. In fact, God promises to reject your sacrifices and not hearken to your prayers when you do not help the poor, the oppressed and those who cannot fight for themselves.

Pray: Everlasting Father, please help me to always have a burden for the poor, the oppressed and the helpless. #Mok
