Numbers 23:8 (KJV): How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, [whom] the LORD hath not defied?

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 14 July 2026

It is often concerning to see or hear of situations where someone who claims to be a disciple of Christ is thrown into a state of fear and anxiety when an agent of darkness threatens them with curses and other such pronouncements. This smacks of an insufficient knowledge of the God who they claim to be their Father. It also shows a lack of sufficient familiarity with the holy scriptures. You must know that if anyone is in Christ and living upright, they are beyond cursing because a curse causeless cannot hold. They are blessed of God and anyone who will harm them must pas through the filter of Jehovah. So, fear not! No human or spiritual being can hurt you when you are faithful to Christ.
