Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 17 June 2026

Today’s scripture is so reminiscent of what has become the norm in many church communities worldwide today. Both churchgoers and their leaders have departed from the true gospel delivered by Christ to the world, and they are in the habit of causing many to follow their pernicious practices and beliefs. This is not limited to any particular denomination but is a canker that has consumed the entire fabric of the faith. Is it normal? Probably yes, because the Bible warned us to expect the falling away of many from the truth of Christ in the latter days. This is what we are witnessing today, and every wise follower of Christ must resolve to intentionally reject any overtures from agents of darkness to derail their faith in Christ. Watch and pray!
