Many who claim to be following Christ are in the habit of working to curry favour from church leaders and those in authority. They are what you may call men pleasers. They are ignorant of the fact that you cannot focus on pleasing men to God’s detriment and expect Jehovah to reward your labour. Most do it so they can be promoted. But do you know that no one will ever promote you beyond themselves? Only God promotes without any limitations. And He does it justly and fairly, based not only on what you have accomplished but with what motive and for what purpose. Your time on earth is short, stop wasting it on frivolous pursuits that have no hope of eternal reward.
Pray: Most righteous Jehovah, please help me to focus my energy on doing righteous work with a pure heart in reverence of You. #Mok
