Romans 13:4 KJV — For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 03 July 2025
God places people in leadership roles, at home, in the community, at work, in government and in churches, to exercise authority on Jehovah’s behalf and to do it in the fear of God. They are Jehovah’s emissaries and we know God is good, just and merciful, but we cannot say the same of many of His emissaries. You are however obliged to live right and do good. When you do that, you have no reason to fear judgement. If you do evil however you must be prepared to face righteous judgement, now or when you stand before Christ to account for your time on earth. No one ever escapes the righteous judgement of Jehovah.
