The world is in chaos because people would rather do the bidding of mere mortals than obey and do God’s will. But those who are genuinely following Christ must single themselves out by bucking that culture of bowing to humans and disobeying Jehovah. They know that Christ is with them always and can be bold in facing whatever peril comes to them, even as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego defied king Nebuchadnezzar in spite of the threat of being thrown into the furnace. You too can trust Christ to defend you when you go about being light and salt in the world.
