Jeremiah 42:11 KJV — Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 04 July 2025
The “king of Babylon” alludes to satan and his role as ruler of the kingdom of darkness. The sole aim of satan is to oppose Jehovah and his salvation plan for humans. But glory be to God Almighty, satan lost the plot completely and Christ triumphed gloriously on the cross at Calvary. The door of salvation is wide open for anyone who chooses to enter and be reconciled to Jehovah. Once in, satan has no power or leverage over you and can’t harm you because you live under God’s unfailing protection – the divine, inpenetrable dome. So you should never again be afraid of or be in awe of satan. He is a defeated foe.
