Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 05 Aug 2025
Many in some church denominations, especially those that propagate the prosperity and word of faith gospel and other forms of skewed theology, are deceived into believing that all you need to get wealth is to sow bountifully into some form of “spiritual Ponzi scheme”. Today’s scripture teaches the contrary and lays emphasis on the need for wise investments and hard work, not “believe it, receive it” that the false teachers and prophets forcefully and deceptively propagate. No wonder that many who follow them only have stories of sorrows and woes to tell, because they have believed a lie. If you have been stung by them you can make a U-turn today and start to do what Jehovah prescribes for He is the one who gives people power to create wealth.
