I have encountered many who posit that God is not so bothered about your outward presentation as He is about your inward state. They claim that externalities don’t really matter. How very wrong they are. The Bible makes it very clear that your outward behaviour is a mirror into the state of your heart because everything that is seen is first formed in your heart. It is the fruit of your thoughts. It is extremely important that you dedicate your heart to Jehovah and keep it holy and it will continually produce fruit that will draw people to Christ. It will enamour you to present your faith to others in Christlike fashion and they will glorify Jehovah. This is what walking with God and serving Him is all about – keeping your heart pure and going about doing His will in every situation you find yourself.
