In the kingdom of Christ there is no room for hangers-on, parasites and leeches who wait on others to provide their daily needs. God does not condone indolence and will not reward it either. There are many who like to take undue advantage of the benevolence of those who obey Christ’s injunction to be generous to others in need, especially those of the household of faith. The Bible warns to beware of such, stating that those who refuse to work to earn a living should not be indulged in any way. Do you belong to this group of parasites? Or are you one of those who indulge parasites out of warped understanding of love? Whichever one you are, you must resolve to change now.
