Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 09 Aug 2024
We are human beings in the flesh but for those who have been born again of God’s Holy Spirit we are no longer controlled by the selfish, self-indulgent desires of our flesh but are led and guided by the dictates of the Holy Spirit in us. Furthermore the Bible makes us understand that we cannot and must not conduct our affairs as though we are in the flesh. Jesus teaches us that satan and his minions are waging a ferocious and relentless war against Christ’s followers for the souls of people. That war is spiritual and must be fought and won with spiritual weaponry that Jehovah has equipped His soldiers with. Believe it or not, once you are in Christ you have been drawn into this conflict and cannot be an onlooker, lest you become a casualty of the raging war. I urge you to arise, don your battle gear and march on behind Jesus the Supreme Commander.
