2 Timothy 2:20 KJV — But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 10 Sept 2025
Today’s scripture I believe is a metaphor for the Kingdom of Christ and in that Kingdom there are all types of vessels that have been certified fit for the Master’s use. Interestingly, irrespective of what each vessel is made of, it is the Master’s sole prerogative to decide how and to what use it will be put to. Some vessels are reserved for special occasions when they are brought out, polished and used to serve the Master’s honoured guests. Other vessels are reserved for more versatile daily use for which they have been specifically endowed. No matter what vessel you are, I want you to know that you are special and Christ loves you for who you are for as long as you keep walking in His light and doing His will.
