Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 13 Sept 2025
There are millions in various church denominations who have fallen victim of the false doctrine that life in Christ is a life of comfort. This is prevalent in many charismatic and word of faith schools of thought. There is nowhere in the Bible where Christ or the early Church taught this. Rather Christ warned that the world would hate and persecute those who follow Him simply because they are Christ’s. Today’s scripture credited to Apostle Peter hint that your faith will be severely and brutally tested. None of that points to an easy ride, instead it emphasises that the journey will be challenging, rough and tough and that you will be victorious because Christ is with you. So if you are facing fiery trials at the moment, stay anchored in Christ because your victory is assured.
