God’s Word for Today - 16 July 2024
Romans 13:3 KJV — For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 16 July 2024
It is certain that no society can function without rules and regulations that guide what is acceptable behaviour and what are the consequences of breaching those established norms. The mechanisms for monitoring compliance and enforcement of the laws do not have respect of persons and everyone is treated equally under the law. When those laws do not contradict divine injunctions, God expects you to obey the laws of the land and those who are charged with enforcing them. You cannot afford to do otherwise lest you incur Jehovah’s displeasure. You must examine yourself and ensure you are upholding the lawful laws and enabling others to do the same.
Pray: O Lord God, there’s no authority without You, help me to obey and honour those You have put in the place of power. #Mok
