God’s Word for Today – 24 Mar 2025
Luke 18:11 -KJV The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 24 Mar 2025
There are many self-righteous people in church communities across the world whose behaviour is not any different from that of the Pharisee in today’s scripture. They are very religious, legalistic and devoid of any form of empathy and sympathy. They are the ones that neglect the logs in their own eyes but are very quick to see and condemn the specks in the eyes of others. Rather than being penitent and asking for God’s mercy and forgiveness, they flaunt their religiousness as proof of why Jehovah should look kindly on them. And above all, they love to compare themselves with others ignorant of the fact that you can only compare yourself to Yahweh’s standards. If you are like that I implore you to repent and ask God to transform you.
Pray: Oh Lord God, I don’t want to live life like a Pharisee, please forgive me and help me to change. #Mok
