Malachi 1:6 KJV — A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? And if I be a master, where is my fear? Saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 24 Sept 2025
If one were to conduct a survey of global church communities as to who should matter more, their pastor or God, the outcome will be pretty much obvious and in favour of God. If however they are asked to say whether their behaviour towards their pastor reflects that they place God above the pastor, the answer will be quite different. Many consider their pastor to be some kind of demigod and they venerate them. The sad thing is that these pastors do not deter their followers from continuing in this despicable behaviour of dishonouring Jehovah. If you worship your pastor instead of God or you worship your pastor and God, you are in danger of Jehovah’s wrath and must change now.
Pray: Merciful God, You alone are worthy of worship. Please forgive me for the times that I have done differently and restore me to true worship. #Mok
