Mark 2:22 KJV — And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 26 May 2025
There are many in church communities across the world that have received the free gift of salvation by grace through faith in Christ and I rejoice wholeheartedly with you if you are one of them. But many fail to understand that when you come to Christ you are also obligated to walk with Him and in Him. Your call is to embrace Christ not only as your Saviour but also as your Lord, doing His will always, even at your own expense and for the glory of the Father alone. You are obligated to purge yourself of the old doctrines as you are now a new person. But that’s the challenge many in the church have. They want to continue in their old ways that are contrary to Jehovah. That attitude is detrimental to the brand of those who claim to be Christ followers and must be rejected. Are you ready for that?
Pray: Gracious Jehovah, in Your mercy please purge me of the old wine and fill me with Your new wine steadily. #Mok
