Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 28 Aug 2025
I have seen and heard today’s scripture frequently used out of context by preachers, some out of sheer ignorance and others for personal gains. But whichever way, the main motive is to play on people’s ignorance of the scriptures and to swindle them for money. When taken in its true context, the scripture alludes to the faithfulness of Jehovah in keeping His covenant to bless those who will diligently work hard in spite of unfavorable circumstances. It is faithfully trusting God to play His part when you invest your energy and resources into labouring in spite of unfavorable environment. It is not about “sowing” the seed God gave you to invest in a profitable venture into the offering basket in church. Wake up from your slumber.
