God’s Word for Today - 29 Jan 2024
Isaiah 57:11 KJV — And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 29 Jan 2024
Misplaced fear of fellow humans has led many people to get on the wrong side of the Almighty God. This was the case with King Saul of Israel who, because he feared the people, chose to disobey Jehovah's clear instructions regarding the Amalekites. This disobedience cost him the throne and his mental health. There are many people today who distort God's Word and fail to tell people the truth because they fear they may lose followership or relationship or even for whatever personal advantage they hope to gain by lying to the people. They don't care about what God might do to them or they take His long-suffering towards us as weakness or as approval of the condemnable acts of lying and deception. Rest assured that if you persist in lies, you will reap the reward in due season. Please desist from telling lies in God's name.
Pray: Sovereign God, teach me to always fear and revere You my Maker. #Mok
