Every discple of Christ must exhibit the character of Christ and be role models that others can emulate. One way to discern who is following Christ is, in addition to the claim of being born again, to show their unconditional love for others and valuing everyone for whom they are. Many who claim to be following Christ fail in this respect as they only value and respect those from whom they hope to get some benefits. Their show of honour and reverence is solely transactional and this ought not to be so. If you have been a transactional disciple, that must stop forthwith. I urge you to imbibe the character of Christ and begin to live it henceforth.
