In my view the greatest evil that can happen to anyone is to depart from following Jesus Christ the life giver and guarantor of our eternal security. It is a catastrophe of unimaginable consequences. There are countless reasons why people turn away from Jehovah and all of them stem out of being deceived as to the true cost of abandoning the only true God. When you abandon Jehovah you become free fodder for satan as you lose God’s promises and protection guaranteed to His children. And you may not know it, so know it now that satan is a wicked slave driver who is incapable of loving anyone. I am certain you do not want to be associated with such a master, let alone serve him. But that’s the choice you are making when you walk away from Christ. I urge you to think before you take such a step.
