God’s Word for Today - 02 July 2026

Jeremiah 17:5 (KJV): Thus saith the LORD; Cursed [be] the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 02 July 2026

In many cultures across the world the attitude of depending on whom you know to get on in life is deeply embedded in the psyche of people. And more often than not, people’s expectations are simply unmet, and they become disappointed and embittered. If an individual who has been so disappointed by those they trusted to move them forward in their journey allows bitterness to take root in their heart, it soon becomes a stronghold that drags them further down a pernicious hole from which they find it near impossible to extricate themselves. This is akin to being under a curse because they chose to put their trust in fellow humans than in Jehovah. Know for certain that humans will always fail you.

Pray: Dependable God, there is none like You. I make the conscious decision to trust You alone. #Mok
