God’s Word for Today - 08 Nov 2025
Jeremiah 20:13 (KJV): Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 08 Nov 2025
There is always a certainty with Jehovah, whether for good or evil. He will always recompense and always deliver the persecuted from their oppression. It is indeed true that hope deferred makes the heart to be sick and weary and no one can imagine how it feels when you are not the one in the situation. Many who follow Christ are being sold a false narrative that when you are in Christ you are free from all manner of persecution. This is total deception that further compounds the suffering of those who are being persecuted and oppressed. What Jehovah has promised instead is that He will deliver those who are persecuted and oppressed and He will punish their persecutors. That’s a guarantee that cannot ever fail. And when that happens, as it always does, the oppressed are filled with joy and they glorify God, while their oppressors descend into sorrow, pain and suffering with shame. So, if you are being persecuted, I encourage you to hold on still because help is on the way.
Pray: Merciful God, You are the Great Deliverer, please deliver Your people from those who persecute them and give them overflowing joy. #Mok
