God’s Word for Today - 09 May 2026

2 Peter 1:12 (KJV): Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know [them], and be established in the present truth.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 09 May 2026

People naturally loathe being called to account for their actions or inactions, but anyone who wants to progress in life must be willing to receive rebukes and corrections from those who Christ has placed around them for that purpose. Scripture tells us that those who think they know it all and are secure should be careful, so they do not stumble and fall. This stems from being arrogant and that can only lead to shame and disgrace. Anyone who is a follower of Christ must eschew pride, embrace humility and be teachable. And if you are a leader, you must never fail in your duty to challenge those in your care to be upright in their relationship with Christ and with others. God will hold you accountable for them, so beware.

Pray: Most Excellent God, I receive boldness to point others in the way of righteous living. #Mok
