Revelation 3:19 (KJV): As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 12 Jan 2026

Our earthly parents and caregivers will be considered wicked and unloving if they should let us go through life without restraints, correcting, rebuking and chiding us as may be necessary so we don’t go astray. It is what is expected of every good and loving parent or caregiver. If this is the case for our flawed earthly parents and caregivers, how much more is this required of the Almighty God who created us and invested all in us because He loves us deeply. Jehovah cannot but chide us and prune us so that we turn out right. But many wrongly interpret this and accuse God not caring about them. Rather than repent and embrace the divine correction they become rebellious to the point of rejecting God. If this is you I implore you to reconsider your ways and to humble yourself and submit to divine discipline.
