Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 16 June 2026

There can be no denying it that not all that glitters is gold or that the devil’s apple is full of worms. In fact, the way to destruction is often paved with gold to attract the foolish and undiscerning folks and lure them into captivity. As it is in the physical realm, so it is in the spiritual realm. Just as the attractions of life often lead to physical, mental, or emotional damage, some of those attractions that people indulge in and believing they are having fun, actually come at a high spiritual cost to them. Those who use the standards of the world to assess the moral and ethical acceptability of their actions and behaviour do so at the detriment of their eternal future, because God’s benchmark is different and it is what matters. So, stop taking your cues from the world culture and embrace Christ hook, line, and sinker.
