Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 23 Nov 2025

In many churches, especially the non-orthodox denominations, there is a lot of drama at play when it comes to collecting offerings. Church leaders have put in place carefully devised plans to cajole people and extort money from them. They use all forms of trickery, including quoting scripture out of context to deceive ignorant congregants for money. I want you to know that God is not pleased with such behaviour. You must also know that anything you offer to God must be of your own volition and not out of external duress and influence. You must also know that Jehovah blesses not by the quantity but by the purity of your offering and your intent, in accordance with the ability God has given you. Whatever you choose to give in offering, give it in worship of Christ and not to curry favour with church leaders.

Pray: Righteous Jehovah, give me grace to always give cheerfully in proportion to how you have blessed me and to do it for Your glory alone. #Mok
