1 Timothy 6:2 (KJV): And they that have believing masters, let them not despise [them], because they are brethren; but rather do [them] service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 26 Oct 2026

There is a practice among churchgoers that people need to be warned about. Many believe that everyone that attends church regularly is a true convert following Christ faithfully and getting sanctified as they continue their journey of faith in Christ. That assumption is just not true. Not everyone you meet in church fits that description. Many are there with ulterior motives for other reasons. But let us focus attention on the few who fit the description and to whom today’s scripture is addressed. If you find yourself in the employment of a fellow follower of Christ, you should faithfully and humbly serve them and accord them all the respect they deserve. That is the least Christ expects of a faithful follower. You must not let familiarity in Christ lead to contempt and dishonour.
