1 Samuel 12:15 KJV — But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 27 Oct 2025
Human beings are characterised by their fallen nature, no thanks to their descent from Adam and Eve who intentionally disobeyed Jehovah their Creator in the matter of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden. Satan enticed and deceived them into believing that God didn’t have their good in mind and they concurred, not minding the consequences of their disobedience which God clearly spelt out to them. As carriers of the DNA of Adam and Eve humans also carry in them the seed of rebellion and disobedience that must be flushed out, but only through divine intervention. Hence God gives those who earnestly believe and desire it a new heart that allows one to live in obedience to divine authority. If you allow Jehovah to perform that divine surgery on you by embracing Christ and all that He stands for, you will be saved from God’s wrath. Are you willing to submit to Jehovah’s sovereignty over you?
