There’s nothing as dangerous as overconfidence in one’s abilities because it is laid on the foundation of pride and arrogance. And, if you don’t know it, I want you to know that pride and arrogance ultimately lead to disgrace and shame. As the popular saying goes “pride goes before a fall”. The proud person is devoid of reason, is cocky, has a bloated ego and overestimates their capabilities, hence such a person is prone to embarrassing failures, time and time again. Such people lack self-awareness and will struggle with building lasting relationships. Has Jehovah endowed you with certain abilities that make you puffed up? Beware, stop overestimating yourself and learn to cultivate humility and respect for those around you. A word is enough for the wise.
