Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 13 Oct 2023
It is not uncommon to hear of people spending recklessly on worthless things to the detriment of millions trapped in poverty around them. Mercy and compassion for those in need seems to mean nothing for those people. But Jehovah has a different yardstick for those who are called by His name, those who identify with Him. God expects you to be "your brother's keeper" - feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and much more. You cannot turn a blind eye to those in need, because Jesus did not turn a blind eye to your need for salvation. The proof of your love for others is what you do when they are in need. Will God find you to have been faithful in discharging this duty? Examine yourself and change!
