Luke 16:2 KJV — And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? Give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 16 May 2024
People often resent being called to account and if they can avoid it they would gladly do. This is particularly the case for those who have been cutting corners and betraying the trust put in them. The punishment for unfaithfulness and betrayal is not palatable and could be sometimes damning. Some have lost their means of livelihood because they were found wanting in caring for what was entrusted to them. If you are involved in this despicable behaviour or you know someone who is, you must resolve to change and speak to them to change. I urge you to please not persist in being an unfaithful steward because it is anti-God and does not benefit you in the long term. Jehovah will not hesitate to reject and punish every form of unfaithfulness, so flee from any semblance of unfaithfulness.
