James 3:6 KJV — And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 14 Sept 2024
Every culture of the world has wise admonitions on controlling how you use your tongue. Every honest person would agree that the tongue is a tough beast to control. Jehovah the Creator tells us that the words we speak have power to build up or to pull down and one must be very mindful of what one says and how. Your unruly tongue can devastate people, destroy relationships, cause strife and destroy lives, if you fail to control it. If you are a follower of Christ you can yield control to the Holy Spirit and let Him use your tongue to edify and bless people in honour of Jehovah. You must desist from letting the devil use your tongue for his purpose. Will you rise up to the challenge today?
Pray: O Spirit of God, I yield total control of my tongue to You. Teach me to never use it to dishonour Jehovah. #Mok
