1 John 4:20 (KJV): If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 07 Oct 2023
I love today's scripture so very much. It is simple, direct and clear, and doesn't lend itself to any misinterpretation or misunderstanding. Love of God and others are two sides of the same coin. It is impossible to have one without the other. Many are strutting about boasting how much they love God, but their behaviour towards those they encounter betrays that assertion of loving God. The Bible has a simple name for them: Liars. Do you belong in that group? Now is the best time to examine yourself and do whatever you need to do to bring yourself in line with Christ.
