Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 26 June 2024
People love to appease God by the various religious acts of piety and showmanship they engage in and believe that Jehovah is impressed by such acts. Sadly, I must not fail to tell you that God has no sympathy for such behaviour. Rather God’s priority is for you to know Him, walk humbly before Him, do justly and show mercy in all your dealings with others in reverence for Jehovah. You or anyone cannot bribe God, so let nobody deceive you that you can get on God’s side with your show of religiosity. Instead submit yourself to the Holy Spirit and let Him give you a new heart that is amenable to Jehovah’s way. Strive to glorify God with your life.
