Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 15 Feb 2025
No one can deny the fact that it takes considerable inner strength for anyone to intentionally refuse to want to revenge against any unjust treatment against their person. The default human position is to repay evil with equal, if not greater, evil. But Jehovah’s standard is totally different and counter-cultural. as it demands that those who follow Jehovah must refrain from every semblance of avenging for themselves, but to leave vengeance to Him. I must admit that this is a difficult thing to do, but not impossible to achieve. For those who are followers of Christ and who are yielded to the Holy Spirit, there is grace in Christ to wait on God and let Jehovah avenge for you. With Christ you can turn the other cheek!
