John 15:5 KJV — I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 27 July 2023
It is certain that any branch that dissociates itself from the tree, its lifesource, is doomed to destruction. It simply can’t exist outside of the tree. Similarly any follower of Christ who refuses to remain anchored in Christ can neither thrive nor survive. It is impossible for you as a disciple to function outside of Christ neither are you able, on your own, to not succumb to the fiery trials that will confront you in the world, without the enabling grace of the Holy Spirit. So if you have wandered away from Jehovah I implore you to trace your way back as a prodigal child and return to your gracious and merciful Father today.
Pray: O Lord God full of mercy and grace, please forgive my rebellion and graft me again into Your fold. #Mok
