Malachi 1:8 KJV — And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 08 June 2024
Today’s scripture reminds me of a common practice I have seen among many churchgoers in different parts of the world. People giving things that are of little or no value to them as offering to Jehovah. Things they would never dare to present to their human leaders, but they feel very comfortable offering them to their Creator. I would venture to say that most do this in total ignorance of what that means to God. Don’t take me for being naïve because I know there are many who do it because they are dissatisfied with how the church leaders use those offerings that are committed in their care. If you fall into this category let me implore you to desist from this. You should remember to do whatever you do as unto the Holy Lord and leave Him to judge those who betray their stewardship. Give your best to Jehovah and do it with a joyful heart.
Pray: Heavenly Father, forgive me for all the times I have despised you with my offerings. Help me to always honour you with my all. #Mok
