Matthew 9:13 KJV — But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 07 June 2024
It is crucially important that those who are disciples of Christ imbibe the virtue of being merciful just as Jesus is to us. That mercy automatically manifests itself in being compassionate to those who are still groping in darkness unaware of the danger to their souls. As a disciple you are obligated to let the light of Christ in you illuminate those who are in darkness to guide them into the waiting embrace of Jesus Christ. You cannot leave this important assignment for others as you must give account of your stewardship to God when the time is ripe. I encourage you to rise up to the challenge, submit to the Holy Ghost and begin to function in your role showing compassion and love for those who are lost in sin.
Pray: Divine Spirit of God, fill me with passion for lost souls and give me grace to reach out to them in mercy and love. #Mok
