Hebrews 6:10 (KJV): For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 19 Oct 2023
It is not uncommon to hear some Christ followers grumbling about not receiving any reward for all they are doing in God's vineyard. One can ascribe this to nothing but ignorance of who God is and how He rewards His own. Let's get one thing straight - God is not a man that He should lie. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are completely different from how we think. We expect God to reward us in a certain way but He is sovereign in how He chooses to respond to our labour in His vineyard. I encourage you to not be fixated on how you think God should reward you but to look at the manifold ways Jehovah is blessing you and be grateful.
Pray: Father, forgive me for my ignorance of who You really are and teach me to rejoice in Your blessing in my life. #Mok
