Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 25 Apr 2024
Did you know that there are three essential gateways that everyone must take cognizance of to avoid falling into sin and out of favour with Jehovah? These are the gateways of hearing, seeing and speaking. You must guard them strictly to protect yourself and others from avoidable damage, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. You must, as the popular saying goes, hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil. Our scripture today enjoins us to be mindful of what and how we hear, and interestingly links this to how we use what God has endowed us with. Active listening has an impact on your fruitfulness because it drives you to act in an appropriate way for a positive outcome. This makes you to be recognised as an achiever and that attracts more patronage. I tell you that you don’t want to be the opposite.
