Ecclesiastes 6:2 KJV — A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 06 Sept 2023
Isn't it tragic for anyone to spend their days pursuing and acquiring wealth, only to leave it to persons with whom they didn't have a good or any relationship? Many would ask why God would allow this? Why did He bless them at all? Many would foolishly query the justice of Jehovah. Yes, it is God who gives us the power to get wealth, but He did not ask us to focus our love on the wealth. Indeed He warns that we must remember that God is our Enabler. When you choose to love wealth instead of God, tragedy often follows. Choose today to love the Blesser and not the blessing.
Pray: Father, forgive me for focusing on the things You give rather than You. Have mercy and reform me. #Mok
