Romans 12:3 KJV — For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 18 Sept 2023
No matter how much success you have achieved in life, you must resist the temptation of becoming prideful and treating others with disdain. You must know that no one is an island unto themselves and your success has been made possible, because others played a role; though you may want to downplay the significance of the support you received from those same people you are now disrespecting. They, nevertheless, are part of your success story. You must learn to respect and honour them. I want you to know that pride always results in disgrace and is abominable to Jehovah. No proud person ever gets away unscathed, and you will not be an exception unless you change your way. I implore you to think on this and act wisely.
Pray: Holy Lord, I repent of being haughty and ask Your forgiveness. Please have mercy on me and help me to eschew pride. #Mok
