2 Chronicles 2:6 KJV — But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? Who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?
Reflection on God’s Word for Today – 12 June 2024
Indeed no one is capable of building a befitting house for the Almighty God. He doesn’t dwell in houses built with hands. Knowing this is beyond human capability, Jehovah Himself had to devise a way to overcome this by choosing to dwell in humans. But hardly will the holy God dwell in an impure vessel that you and I are, so again Jehovah made a way for us to be cleansed and purified for Him to be our Immanuel – God with us and living in us. He sacrificed Jesus Christ His Son and gave us His Holy Spirit. But there is a condition that one must fulfill for this to happen. You must forsake your sinful past, accept Jehovah’s free gift of salvation and God will imbue you with His own righteousness. You can then present your body as a living sacrifice to Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit in you.
