Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 22 Apr 2025
Today’s scripture is a testimony to how easily it is that one can fall short of some of the doctrines of Christ and which the Apostle Paul also emphasised. In Matthew 5:44 Christ teaches us to pray for our persecutors and in Romans 12:14 Paul teaches the same. But here in today’s scripture we see Paul doing the opposite and many fail to see that this is not the ideal response. Jesus modelled the ideal response when He prayed to the Father to “forgive them for they know not what they do”. That’s the more excellent way that Jehovah will have everyone of us to follow. And to leave God the just Judge to determine the reward to give.
Pray: Holy Father, give me much grace to be able to pray for my persecutors. #Mok
