Do you know that the call to salvation is a universal invitation to everyone but only a few heed the call and become saved through Christ Jesus? Among those who heed the call, even fewer become chosen. Why is this so? The answer is found in our scripture today. They are those who diligently follow the Master, not wavering in their obedience to the teachings of Christ, no matter what price they have to pay. Such are those who willingly submit themselves to be purged and pruned by Jehovah so they can be more fruitful. And the Father is always pleased with them and hides them in the hollow of His hands always, so the enemy cannot approach them or overcome them. Jehovah is calling you to join this elite group of believers today. What will be your response?
